Sub-Congressional Meet by Jennifer Deloso

The Sub-Congress Meet, held at Badiang National High School (BNHS) and Anda Plaza, was an exciting and moving event that brought people together through sports. Five teams, the Candijay, Anda, Guindulman, Alicia, and Mabini participated in different games, showcasing their skills, teamwork, and determination. Anda’s team, made up of talented Badiang National HighSchool students, had many reasons to celebrate. Their boys’ volleyball team won their matches, their girls’ volleyball team placed an impressive second place, and some of their badminton players also took home the win.

The girls’ volleyball match was very exciting, as it was intense and kept the crowd very loud. In addition to their athletic success, the Andahanons truly made their hometown proud, and the cheers from the home crowd made the event even more intense.

One of the most exciting moments of the game was the victory of the Anda boys’ volleyball team. It is the first time, they will proceed to the next stage: the Congressional meet. What made their victory even more remarkable was that they defeated last years' champion team, proving that their hard work and determination had paid off. Their emotional celebration showed how much this victory meant to them, their coach, and their fans. It was a proud moment not only for the team, but for the entire community.

The teachers and students of Badiang National High School were very proud because some of the players representing Anda’s team were their very own Badiang National Highschool students. Their hardwork, dedication, and sportsmanship reflected the values taught at their school. The support from the BNHS community was overwhelming, with teachers and classmates loudly cheering their players, creating a loud atmosphere.

Even though the teams were competing, they showed good sportsmanship and supported each other. Anda’s team victories were meaningful because they were playing in front of their home crowd, who cheered loudly and proudly.

The women’s volleyball match was one of the highlights of the gathering. The match was intense, with both teams giving it their all. Although the Anda girls finished in 2nd place. The badminton team also did Anda proud with their victory, demonstrating skill and focus in their matches. Sport is a great way to build friendships, stay healthy, and inspire young people to dream big. We continue to support our athletes and encourage more people to participate in sports. Winning is exciting, but true victory is playing with heart, as a team, and with respect for each other.

Congratulations to all teams. May their success inspire others to work hard, play fair, and always do their best. The Sub-Congressional meeting may be over, but the memories, enthusiasm, and lessons it brought will stay with us for a long time.

My Grandparents by Jennifer Deloso

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Jena who lived with her grandparents, Nana Neng and Papa Quen, on their farm. The house always smelled of woodsmoke and freshly baked bread which is a comforting scent. Nana Neng, with her bright eyes and silver hair, was busy all day. She loved her roses and baking cookies, and she told Jena wonderful stories every night. Papa Quen, a quiet man with strong hands, was a skilled craftsman. He worked in his workshop, the rhythmic tapping of his hammer is a familiar sound. He taught Jena to carve little birds and to recognize the songs of birds and the stars at night. Jena loved doing it.

Their old farmhouse was full of memories. Photo albums showed pictures of their family, each one a story waiting to be discovered. Jena loved exploring the dusty place filled with old toys and furniture, where her imagination ran wild. She always remember the times where they were still there.

Life wasn't always easy. Nana Neng had lots of rules, and Papa Quen could seem grumpy, but they both loved Jena very much. They taught her to work hard and the importance of family, and how to appreciate simple things. However, Jena was very a softhearted but she still manage to understand the things she find it wrong.

One day, Jena got a letter, her parents were coming home. She felt happy and sad at the same time. She loved her grandparents and their farm, and leaving felt scary. The smell of the house, once so comforting, now felt a little bittersweet. But hugging Nana Neng and Papa Quen, Jena knew their love would always be with her, a warm memory wherever she went. The farm would always be a special part of her life.

A Promise to Lola, A Vow to My Family by Rhea Fabillar

I sit in my small dorm room, surrounded by the faint glow of twinkling stars outside my window. My heart aches with every passing day, longing for the warmth and love of my family. But I know I'm here for a reason to chase my dreams and make my Lola proud.

Growing up in a poor household, life was never easy. My parents worked tirelessly to make ends meet, but we always struggled to get by. Despite the hardships, my Lola's unwavering support and encouragement fueled my determination to succeed.

She'd often tell me, "Kahit mahirap kami, pero may pag-asa ka. Mag-aral ka ng mabuti, at makakamit mo ang mga pangarap mo." (Even though we're poor, you have hope. Study well, and you'll achieve your dreams.)

But life had other plans. My Lola passed away, leaving me with a deep sense of loss and a burning desire to make her proud. I knew I had to push forward, no matter how difficult the journey would be.

My mama's words echo in my mind every day: "Pagtarong mo ug eskwela kay para rana ninyo naa rami dinhi nga always mo support ug ayaw tagda kung unsay isulti sa uban maong kamo padayon kay always rami naas inyong kilid nga mo supporta ninyo forever." (Keep studying, because we're all here to support you. Don't mind what others say, just focus on your goals, because we'll always be here to support you forever.)

Now, as a Grade 12 student, I'm one step closer to achieving my dream of becoming a nurse. It's not easy, of course – the long hours, the endless studying, the sacrifices I make every day. But every time I feel like giving up, I remember Lola's words, Mama's words, and the promise I made to them.

I'll make it, Lola. I'll make you proud. I'll become a nurse and help those in need, just like you always taught me to do. I'll make a difference, and I'll make sure your memory lives on through me.

I'll make it, Mama. I'll make you proud. I'll succeed and make a better life for our family. I'll prove to myself and to everyone that we may be poor, but we're not powerless.

As I drift off to sleep, I smile, knowing that Lola's spirit and Mama's love are with me, guiding me every step of the way. Tomorrow, I'll wake up, ready to face another day, another challenge, and another opportunity to make my dreams a reality.

Bidlisiw sa Kagahapon: A Night of Talent, Culture, and Life Lessons by Irish Deloso

Badiang National High School (BNHS) event was a night to remember it presented its second season of drama and musical presentation and once again captured the hearts of the community through their outstanding musical drama, Bidlisiw sa Kagahapon. The occasion, was held at the Anda Cultural Gym, it was full of excitement as students, parents, local politicians, and our supportive school head gathered to watch an amazing performance. The musical showcased the incredible talents of BNHS student by folk dances, hip hops, dubbers, acting.

By bringing the past to life, the drama highlighted the ordinary lives of Filipinos in earlier eras. The audience was reminded and bring up the past of Filipino childhood games like Chinese garter, patintero, bato lata and luksong tinik, among others. However, the story was emphasizing the strength of a family, resilience during hardships, and ability to rise after failure. And I've learned that life is about learning ,forgiving, and overcoming challenges rather than striving for perfection.

And at the heart of its success , the effort and commitment of the BNHS students made this event a success . To make the story come to life, the backstage crew, dubbers, choreographers, and outstanding actors do their best just to make the event perfect. Days of rehearsals and attention to every detail paid off, and the performances were truly inspiring as you see the whole story. The teachers, parents, and school leaders also played a vital role in ensuring the show’s success, proving how collaboration and teamwork can create something truly magical.

Bidlisiw sa Kagahapon was not only a night to enjoy and have fun watching the show but a night to remind people how rich the culture of Filipinos is and the significance of family and perseverance. All of the students involved present a memorable impact to young ones as they are encouraged by the new generation to understand and stand strong amidst the hardships in life even how hard life is, you need to move forward learned from your mistakes. BHNS truly shined that night, proving once again the power of collaboration and passion in bringing stories to life.

Reminiscing Life By Jonaliza Deloso

In this day and age, living through difficult situations is no easy task. Often, life challenges us to fight repeatedly, to rise even after being thrown down, and to learn resilience instead of surrender. Despite the world’s attempts to push us aside, we must gather the strength to stand firm, not to give up but to embrace the lessons that come with facing tomorrow.

My life has not been easy, there are many trials to be faced, sometimes it's tiring, you'll suddenly wonder if you're going to give up or fight. In real life , I know it's not just one person who suffers alone but all of us and most of them they fight fairly, so I always motivate myself to continue the life I started. As a student who dreams of overcoming adversity, the future has not been easy.

There are many times you try to fight even if you give up. When I come home from school I have to work to earn money and to help my parents earn a living. One of the biggest challenges I face in my studies is the lack of financial stability. Coming home from school doesn’t mean rest; instead, I work to earn money and help my parents with their livelihood. Balancing school and work leaves me emotionally, physically, and mentally drained. There are nights when I stay awake trying to finish my assignments or study, fighting the exhaustion that threatens to pull me under. Sleep deprivation often takes its toll, leaving me feeling weak and isolated. But in those moments of vulnerability, I remind myself that I am my own anchor. Sometimes it's pressure to study when you're sleep deprived, the feeling that you're weak, but there's no one close to you but yourself.

My life has been a journey filled with trials and hardships. There are days when it feels overwhelming, and moments when I wonder whether to keep fighting or give in. But I’ve realized that life’s struggles are not unique to me. Many others face their own battles, and some fight with admirable courage and determination. This inspires me to keep motivating myself, to push forward, and to pursue the dreams I have set for myself. As a student with aspirations of overcoming adversity, I know the path to success is far from easy. It takes grit and relentless effort to keep moving forward, even when it feels like giving up is the easier option.

Despite the pressure, the weariness, and the countless moments of doubt, I hold on to the hope that my efforts will one day pay off. Each challenge I face strengthens my resolve, teaching me that perseverance and faith in myself are the keys to rising above the trials of life. I am determined to continue, to fight for the future I dream of, and to remind myself that even in the darkest moments, there is always a light waiting at the end of the tunnel.

BNHS Teacher's Night By Jonaliza Deloso

Teacher's Night is a night of tribute and gratitude. Each teacher has a story that cannot be offered with sacrifices, dedication, and love that they offer for each student. So Teachers' Night is not only a celebration but also a proof of our recognition of their incomparable contribution to our society.

On the eve of Teachers' Night, every teacher's joy and pleasure were evident. The program began with a warm welcome from the school leadership followed by colorful performances from students and teachers themselves. The theme of the night is "recognizing the teacher as the people's light," which emphasizes their important role as a light bearer to young people.

In the program being conducted, the teachers show a variety of performances such as their dance talent, singing, and even funny skits that entertain all those who attend. In this way, everyone saw the talent of teachers outside the classroom.

For me Teachers' Night is not just about the awards, but it is also an opportunity for teachers to relax and have fun. It is also full of laughter, stories, and dancing that strengthen each other's unity.

Teachers' Night is a reminder that teachers are more than their profession. They are the advocates of the dreams and hope of young people. In every lesson they teach, they shape the future of our country.

No matter what night they are intended for them, the value of their service should be remembered and appreciated and unforgettable. Thank our teachers the true hero of our time!

Where Friendships Begin by Irish Deloso

Do you have friends? You know

Friendship is a feeling of love and affection that one person has for another. This feeling must be mutual, or else true friendship cannot exist. Friendship doesn’t grow where people don’t share similar tastes, feelings, or sentiments.

I have this one childhood friend who, even to this day, remains a part of my life. We’ve managed to stay in the same circle of friends, supporting each other through the highs and lows we’ve faced. We’ve been through so many challenges together, surviving even when life felt difficult. Honestly, I can’t even pinpoint how our friendship began—it just happened. Maybe it’s because we have the same sense of humor and can easily understand each other. One thing I know for sure is that friendship wouldn’t be complete without going through trials together.

Back then, gadgets weren’t a part of our lives, so we played games like pusa-itlog, patintero, tumbang-lata, the slipper game, and so many more. We didn’t need anything fancy just energy, imagination, and a sense of adventure. Sometimes, we’d head to the sapa (creek) near our neighborhood. We’d spend hours there, trying to catch whatever we could find. We were so caught up in our games that we often forgot to be careful, and I can’t count how many times we ended up falling into the creek or the muddy water because of our clumsiness. Even when our parents scolded us for coming home dirty, we didn’t mind—it was all part of the fun.

As life goes on, we may end up going our separate ways in the future, but I know I’ll never forget that one friend of mine. The memories of those days are something I’ll always cherish because they remind me of the simple joy of childhood and the strength of true friendship.

The Unfinished Story By: Gloria Margareth T. Bolotaolo

Family, seven letters, but when combined, they paint smiles on your lips that can't be erased.

By the way, my name is Gloria Margareth T. Bolotaolo, 17 years old. Since I was young, I was happy with my parents. There was laughter, storytelling, and eating together at the dinner table. It was the kind of feeling where you had no worries because they were there to support you. Like, your mom and dad are there when you're not okay, and they're willing to listen to you. And your parents who would talk to you before you go to sleep, and they're there when you need them and always guide you. From the moment you open your eyes, learn to write letters, write your name, answer math problems, read the alphabet, do your assignments and projects with a mix of nervousness, joy, and tears because there's a punishment waiting. The kind that makes you suddenly smart because you're afraid of getting punished.

When I wake up in the morning, my mom and dad's smiles greet my morning, and the breakfast we share. Then, I get ready for school, and my mom happily walks me to school. I listen to the teacher's discussion, and when I get home, I reflect and get confused because I didn't know that all of this was just a dream. I woke up to a reality filled with sadness. The happy faces were replaced with sadness and boredom because my mom and dad had separated.

I woke up in a dark cell, crying as if no one could hear me because the light and the pillar of the house were gone. It felt like I was crushed and drowning in the pain I felt. I was losing hope, but the Almighty didn't abandon me. Someone approached me and led me. It was my dad, and he said to me, "Child, you will understand what's happening now. Not now, but later when you're older." He also said, "If someone leaves, someone will come," and it was true because my stepmother came and took good care of me. So, I used my past as motivation and didn't let it stop me from continuing what I am today.

Even though my dream of being happy with my real family didn't come true, what's important is that I'm happy now and who I am now because I know God has a better plan for me. That's all, thank you.

Badiang Night Presents Drama and Musical " Bidlisiw sa Kagahapon " by Christopher Gultiano

The "Badiang Night" presentation of the drama and musical "Bidlisiw sa Kagahapon" sounds like such a heartfelt event! It’s incredible to see how art can bring people together and evoke deep feelings about our past.

I believe performances like this can really touch the audience by reminding them of their own memories and experiences. It’s not just about watching a show; it’s about connecting with the stories and emotions that resonate with everyone. Imagine being in a room filled with people, all sharing a collective moment of nostalgia, laughter, and perhaps even a few tears.

Plus, showcasing local talent brings a wonderful sense of community pride. It’s like a celebration of shared history and culture, where everyone can find a piece of themselves in the performance. Overall, "Bidlisiw sa Kagahapon" seems like a beautiful way to honor the past while creating new memories together. I can only imagine the magic that unfolds on stage!

Dujanon Festival in Anda, Bohol By Jen Grace Casimsiman

The Dujanon Festival in Anda, Bohol, is more than just an event it’s a celebration of identity and culture. It’s one of those rare occasions where the community comes alive with color, music, and tradition, creating an atmosphere of pure joy. The festival reflects the heart of Anda’s people, paying tribute to their history and way of life.

What I love most about the Dujanon Festival is how it brings everyone together. The street dances are a sight to behold vibrant costumes, rhythmic music, and performers who give their all to tell stories of the town’s heritage. Watching it feels like stepping back in time, as the dances often depict significant moments and values that shaped Anda’s community.

But what makes the experience truly unforgettable is the warm hospitality of the locals. Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, you’re welcomed with open arms and encouraged to join the celebration. It’s not just about observing; it’s about being part of something bigger a connection that stays with you long after the event ends.

Of course, as with any festival, there’s room to grow. Better promotion and improved facilities could help attract more visitors while ensuring that the cultural essence remains untouched. What’s important is that the festival continues to honor its roots, reminding everyone of what makes Anda special.

The Dujanon Festival isn’t just a feast for the eyes it’s a celebration of community, culture, and pride. If you’re ever in Bohol, don’t miss the chance to experience it for yourself.

Dujanon Festival, Where Beauty meets Culture by Mary Jane Gultiano

People of Anda celebrated the 140th Fiesta in honor of their patron saint, Sr. So. Niño. They held a contest for Dujanon Festival Queen as part of the celebration. As the sky gets dark, eight stunning candidates from different barangays slayed on the stage. They made me speechless with their beauties. One of the criteria was a performance of the Dujanon festival dance by the candidates with their energetic backup dancers. The cultural center was packed with Andahanons, their cheers echoing through the whole gymnasium as they supported their very own barangay candidates. Every time the candidates slayed, it would leave me stunned.

The eight stunning ladies had their showdown with their very creative costumes. Each of the candidates danced with confidence and a big smile on their face. They showed unique movements that captivated the audience. Their performance was highlighting the rich culture of Anda. What particularly stood out were the vibrant gowns of the candidates, inspired by the devotion to Sr. So. Niño. The designers are so talented to create such amazing costumes. Aside from their dance performance, they also delivered their heartfelt speeches about their aspirations and love for Anda. Each spoke confidently, expressing their love and vision in the town of Anda. Their different speeches were inspiring and made the audience feel proud. I got goosebumps listening to the candidates' speeches as they echoed through the gymnasium.

After their wonderful presentation, the panel of judges decided who is deserving of the crown. The atmosphere became more thrilled when giving the minor awards. In the end, a candidate from barangay Poblacion won the crown. She was titled as the Dujanon Festival Queen 2025. While I was rooting for barangay Badiang. But barangay Poblacion deserves the crown too; her beauty was stunning. The cultural center was filled with cheers as the MC announced the winner. The Dujanon Festival Queen competition was more than just a beauty pageant. It was a celebration of Anda's culture.

The power of Love and Family by Mary Jane Gultiano

A little girl named Ary was born from a loving family. She is the only child of Rex and Nami. She grew up with love and care and surrounded by genuine people. She is the source of happiness for her parents. Her parents always did their best as they could to raise her on their own. Enduring all the hardship together to give their little angel a better life. They always believe that they can overcome any challenges as long as they are together. In their everyday meal, they would share funny stories and exchange laughter while eating.

Years passed, and an unexpected moment came. When Ary was in her fourth grade, her father was ill and needed to be confined in the hospital. Their family faced financial problems because of the expensive medical bills. Her mother had to find a job, leaving Ary to care for her father. Even though it was very hard for Nami to leave her behind, she chose to find a job so she can pay the bills. Meanwhile, Ary would feed and take care of her father before going to school. Her everyday routines often making her late for her class. However, their family chose to be happy despite the challenges they faced.

Another year had pass, and her father slowly recovering. Their smiles grew bigger as they go out in the hospital. As day goes by, fate had a cruel twist. Unfortunately, Ary lost her father and she broke down into pieces. Tears streamed down here face and her mind was full of unanswered questions. "Dad, why did you leave us? You promised we're always together, but why did u left us?" Ary cried as she say those words.  At such a young age, she lost the man of her life. Every corner of their home held memories of her father. Whenever she saw happy families, she couldn’t help but cry. Her mother was also deepl hurt, losing her appetite and often crying.

When she was in her ninth grade, she would always wish that her father could witness all her achievements.  Ary is always jealous seeing a complete family walking dow the red carpet in their awarding day. A tear fell down in here cheeks as she remembered her father. In the season of Christmas, only Ary and Nami, her mother, celebrated it. Even though they tried to act like everything's fine, they still missed him. The next day, as she open her eyes, she saw God in the clouds and formed the image of her father. Tear are starting to flow, memories are flash, and crash her heart.

Now Ary is in her twelfth grade; she is studying hard to achieve her dream. She promised her father that she would soar high and take care of her mother. She's trying to move forward and come to understand why those things happened. She strives to make her father and mother proud. Every person she met, she would tell, “Cherish your loved ones while you have them because you’ll regret it later.” Today, Ary and her mother live peacefully, their hearts forever marked by loss but filled with love and resilience.

Anda Plays Host to Thrilling CAMAG Sub-congressional Meet by Mary Jane Gultiano

The last year sub-congressional meet was held in the town of Anda. The games took place at different venues in Anda. Athletes from Candijay, Anda, Mabini, Alicia, and Guindulman gathered to show their skills and compete. The sub-congressional meet includes volleyball, basketball, track and field, table tennis, badminton, chess, and many more. Every venue was filled with cheers that motivated the players. While the other games were contested, it was the volleyball court that truly captured the attention of the crowd because of the intense match.

The Anda volleyball boys and girls team is made up of skilled players from my own school, Badiang National High School. Both team have different strategies with teamwork, strong blocks and powerful spikes. With their unity, the opponent was having a hard time to defeat the Anda teams. The crowd cheered loudly as the Anda volleyball team scored. With the support of their parents, it made them more energized and eager to win. The game was so intense, like having a serious battle. The atmosphere was so strong, but after all, they remained friendly whether they lost or win. At the end, the volleyball girls lose while the volleyball boys won. The winning of the Anda volleyball boys team was a proof to their hard work. The players practiced tireslessly and developed a strong team under the guidance of their very supportive coach. They trained every day to master their service, sets, blocks, spikes and receives. They are not only bringing the name of Badiang National High School but also the entire town of Anda. The victories of every player reminded everyone that with determination and efforts, we can win.

This CAMAG sub-congressional meet left a memories to those who participated the game and also the crowd. Despite of the wins or losses, what truly matters in every games, the experience, the improvement, the friendship they built and the memories they created. Their teamwork and determination will inspire future athletes to achieve their passion. The event showed us how sports can bring people together and strengthen the community.

Together with the students, teachers, and their very supportive school head, they worked hard to put on a very amazing drama. The talented cast and dubbers acted with their best and delivered their lines with feelings that captivated the attention of the audience.

The drama, Bidlisiw sa Kagahapon, was inspired by high school musical but in the Bisaya version. It was a blend of drama, comedy, love, failure, and forgiveness where the audience could get a lesson. It showed the everyday lives of Filipinos during the old times, including old games like patintero, luksong tinik, Chinese garter, sticker, and many more. They are bringing back the culture and traditions of Filipinos and showing the importance of family, where the simple joy of life was written. Moreover, they also showed the hardship of the Filipinos, like how they work hard to feed and provide for the needs of their family. Also, the drama shows that life isn't about being successful. Their son failed to graduate, but he didn't give up; instead, he rose up and moved forward. Lastly, they showed that nobody's perfect and forgave their son despite what choice he made. The show not only entertains the audience but also gives a learning experience, reminding the new generation of how lucky they are.

That drama served as a reminder to everyone, especially to those Gen Z teenagers, that they should value every moment with their families. A lesson to everyone that hardship is not a hindrance to success. Life isn't about being on top; it also has failures that lead you to grow and to be successful. Another reminder that we are not perfect, and nobody is. We fail, we can make wrong decisions, and we can make mistakes, but there's a big but in there: we should not lose hope; instead, we take those failures as an inspiration to do better.

The school's performance was proof of the hard work and dedication of the cast, dubbers, backstage crew, teachers, and their school head. Days of practices, emphasizing every detail of the drama to make it perfect. From impressive acting passes to dubbers as well as the choreographers. The shows wouldn't be that successful without the unwavering support from the parents of the talented students.

The school's drama and musical was a big party for all the amazing skills and old traditions of our town. The kids showed us how talented they are, and everyone had a good time watching them sing, dance, and act. It was like looking at old pictures, but also having fun right now. The play reminded us of the games and stories our grandparents knew. This show made everyone in the town of Anda feel happy, and it showed how much we care about our young people and our history. It was a night to remember, where everyone felt like they belonged.

How Team Anda Won the Subcong Championship By Jen Grace Casimsiman

In sports, there are many games you can participate in, such as volleyball, basketball, tennis, and many more. Some of us have reasons for why we like a particular sport. For example, Christian D. Deligero, the captain of Team Anda's volleyball team, shared, "It was when I was in elementary school. I would always watch the UAAP on television, where all the universities in the Philippines compete in volleyball to determine who stands on top, and that’s where I developed an interest in playing volleyball."

So, what were their preparations and challenges in the game? They prepared by undergoing heavy and rigorous training every day to hone their talents and skills. Because of their preparation, they were able to face the challenges and emerge victorious.

The key lies in teamwork, belief, and trust. Players like Christian Deligero, Paulo Celiote, and others demonstrated that it’s not just about thinking of winning or the prize. Instead, you must prove yourselves through how you face challenges and play the game.

For athletes and others who love sports, as well as fans, remember this: don’t expect or assume that you will win. Instead, prove it and make them believe in you.

As the Eldest Child By Jen Grace Casimsiman

As the eldest child, I’m always the one being asked to do things around the house. I’m the one who prepares and cooks breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I also handle the household chores when there are no classes, or when I have free time. Though I’m just their eldest daughter but sometimes it feels like I’m also the mother because I often take on the responsibilities that a mother would usually do.

It’s exhausting but understandable at the same time because, after all, I am their daughter. When it comes to academics, the pressure is immense because I’m always on the honor roll, and their expectations of me are high. It's tiring, especially when I have to balance both academics and family responsibilities.

There’s nothing I can do because that’s just how life is. I just keep going, fighting, and acting strong. Sometimes, you have to pretend to be strong and independent, not just for others but for your own future as well.

Lambu Dujanon Festival by Christian Deligero

The pinnacle of the Dujanon Festival was the Dujanon Festival Street Dancing and Mardi Gras parade, which showcased colorful costumes, traditional dances, and lively music. This vibrant spectacle celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Anda and brought the community together in a spirit of joy and unity.

The Municipality of Anda conducted the Dujanon Festival Competition 2025 on January 21, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the afternoon at Anda Plaza. The Dujanon Festival aims to increase public awareness of culture and the arts by providing the people with the opportunity to showcase their talent of dancing through dance performances. The Dujanon Festival Dance constest is the highlights of the event.

The program started with the Street Dancing by the eight barangay contingeny, followed by a message that delivered the statement of purpose for the said event and a few reminders that all participants should remember.

The next event is followed by the showcasing of Ritual and Mardi Gras Parade of the eight barangay contingent. This event showcases how will they show there love to our Miraculous Sr. Sto Niño by offering a dance.

The last part of the event is the awarding. Even though all of the eight barangay contingent we're great only one stands on top. The Dujanon Festival 2025 Mardi Gras Champion is the pride of Barangay Linawan.

The lesson about this Dujanon Festival is not about winning but it's all about giving our love to our Miraculous Sr. Sto Niño.

Viva Pit Señor! Lambu Dujanon Festival!

Wisdom and Reflections From Student Athelete: Sub-Congressional Meet Volleyball Champion by Christian Deligero

Most Valuable Player of this year's Sub-Congressional Meet Stefan Curt Dolauta and his Team BNHS, have performed phenomenally in volleyball this year.On October, Stefan Curt Dolautas Team placed first overall in Sub-Congressional Meet held at there very own school and court Badiang National High School. He received the awards of Best in Opposite Spiker and MVP of the game.

In honor of his/their accomplishments, I asked him to refelct on the athletics at Sub-Congressional and share wisdom with future student athletes.

Which has been your favorite sport at Badiang National High School and why?

My favorite sport to play at my school is volleyball. Volleyball here gives me the opportunity to come together and bond as a team. It also teaches us not to only to be better volleyball players but be better teammates and people.

What do you think makes Sub-Congressional Meet program strong?

Sub-Congressional Meet program is strong because we have coaches and teachers who care and players who are eager to learn. We play hard and competitively, we play with heart and good sportsmanship.

Do you have any advice for aspiring younger athletes?

My biggest advice would be: do not be afraid to fail. You are going to miss a shot, let the ball touch the floor, lose, and lose again, but you have not failed until you have stopped trying. Take a risk, try something new, you never know what you are capable of doing; all quitting does is limit your potential.
