Christmas Volleyball League

The Anda Plaza was the center of volleyball action for three days during the Christmas League. Even though the sun was blazing hot, and not many people could stand the heat, the Andahanons who came out were super loud. They cheered for their barangay teams, making the plaza feel exciting even with a smaller crowd. The sounds of drums and cheering filled the air, making it clear how much the town loves volleyball. Everyone was excited to see who would win the championship.

The game is starting, and the audience can't wait to see who will win the game. Both team are willing to win and give their best play. The volleyball games were very intense. Players jumped high, dove for the ball, and hit powerful spikes. The people who watch the game are very noisy and they enjoy the gameplay of each team.

The final game was between Barangay Candabong and Barangay Badiang. It was a really close game, with both teams playing their best. Both teams are eager to get the trophy and the championship award. But after the game, something was discovered.

Each team does their best to win the game. But the candabong team are breaking the rules.it turned out that Candabong had some players from outside of Anda, which isn't allowed by the rules. Some people thought the committee was unfair for letting them play. Even with this, the game was still exciting and fun to watch.

Barangay Candabong won the championship. They played well, but some people felt it wasn't fair because of the out-of-town players. Even though Badiang lost, and there was some controversy, everyone was still friendly after the game. They shook hands and said good game. The Christmas League was a fun time for Anda, even with the small problem. It showed how much the town loves volleyball. Hopefully, next year's games will be fair for everyone.

Sub-Congressional Meet by Jennifer Deloso

The Sub-Congress Meet, held at Badiang National High School (BNHS) and Anda Plaza, was an exciting and moving event that brought people together through sports. Five teams, the Candijay, Anda, Guindulman, Alicia, and Mabini participated in different games, showcasing their skills, teamwork, and determination. Anda’s team, made up of talented Badiang National HighSchool students, had many reasons to celebrate. Their boys’ volleyball team won their matches, their girls’ volleyball team placed an impressive second place, and some of their badminton players also took home the win.

The girls’ volleyball match was very exciting, as it was intense and kept the crowd very loud. In addition to their athletic success, the Andahanons truly made their hometown proud, and the cheers from the home crowd made the event even more intense.

One of the most exciting moments of the game was the victory of the Anda boys’ volleyball team. It is the first time, they will proceed to the next stage: the Congressional meet. What made their victory even more remarkable was that they defeated last years' champion team, proving that their hard work and determination had paid off. Their emotional celebration showed how much this victory meant to them, their coach, and their fans. It was a proud moment not only for the team, but for the entire community.

The teachers and students of Badiang National High School were very proud because some of the players representing Anda’s team were their very own Badiang National Highschool students. Their hardwork, dedication, and sportsmanship reflected the values taught at their school. The support from the BNHS community was overwhelming, with teachers and classmates loudly cheering their players, creating a loud atmosphere.

Even though the teams were competing, they showed good sportsmanship and supported each other. Anda’s team victories were meaningful because they were playing in front of their home crowd, who cheered loudly and proudly.

The women’s volleyball match was one of the highlights of the gathering. The match was intense, with both teams giving it their all. Although the Anda girls finished in 2nd place. The badminton team also did Anda proud with their victory, demonstrating skill and focus in their matches. Sport is a great way to build friendships, stay healthy, and inspire young people to dream big. We continue to support our athletes and encourage more people to participate in sports. Winning is exciting, but true victory is playing with heart, as a team, and with respect for each other.

Congratulations to all teams. May their success inspire others to work hard, play fair, and always do their best. The Sub-Congressional meeting may be over, but the memories, enthusiasm, and lessons it brought will stay with us for a long time.

The last year sub-congressional meet was held in the town of Anda. The games took place at different venues in Anda. Athletes from Candijay, Anda, Mabini, Alicia, and Guindulman gathered to show their skills and compete. The sub-congressional meet includes volleyball, basketball, track and field, table tennis, badminton, chess, and many more. Every venue was filled with cheers that motivated the players. While the other games were contested, it was the volleyball court that truly captured the attention of the crowd because of the intense match.

The Anda volleyball boys and girls team is made up of skilled players from my own school, Badiang National High School. Both team have different strategies with teamwork, strong blocks and powerful spikes. With their unity, the opponent was having a hard time to defeat the Anda teams. The crowd cheered loudly as the Anda volleyball team scored. With the support of their parents, it made them more energized and eager to win. The game was so intense, like having a serious battle. The atmosphere was so strong, but after all, they remained friendly whether they lost or win. At the end, the volleyball girls lose while the volleyball boys won. The winning of the Anda volleyball boys team was a proof to their hard work. The players practiced tireslessly and developed a strong team under the guidance of their very supportive coach. They trained every day to master their service, sets, blocks, spikes and receives. They are not only bringing the name of Badiang National High School but also the entire town of Anda. The victories of every player reminded everyone that with determination and efforts, we can win.

This CAMAG sub-congressional meet left a memories to those who participated the game and also the crowd. Despite of the wins or losses, what truly matters in every games, the experience, the improvement, the friendship they built and the memories they created. How Team Anda Won the Subcong Championship By Jen Grace Casimsiman

In sports, there are many games you can participate in, such as volleyball, basketball, tennis, and many more. Some of us have reasons for why we like a particular sport. For example, Christian D. Deligero, the captain of Team Anda's volleyball team, shared, "It was when I was in elementary school. I would always watch the UAAP on television, where all the universities in the Philippines compete in volleyball to determine who stands on top, and that’s where I developed an interest in playing volleyball."

So, what were their preparations and challenges in the game? They prepared by undergoing heavy and rigorous training every day to hone their talents and skills. Because of their preparation, they were able to face the challenges and emerge victorious.

The key lies in teamwork, belief, and trust. Players like Christian Deligero, Paulo Celiote, and others demonstrated that it’s not just about thinking of winning or the prize. Instead, you must prove yourselves through how you face challenges and play the game.

For athletes and others who love sports, as well as fans, remember this: don’t expect or assume that you will win. Instead, prove it and make them believe in you.

Wisdom and Reflections From Student Athelete: Sub-Congressional Meet Volleyball Champion by Christian Deligero

Most Valuable Player of this year's Sub-Congressional Meet Stefan Curt Dolauta and his Team BNHS, have performed phenomenally in volleyball this year.On October, Stefan Curt Dolautas Team placed first overall in Sub-Congressional Meet held at there very own school and court Badiang National High School. He received the awards of Best in Opposite Spiker and MVP of the game.

In honor of his/their accomplishments, I asked him to refelct on the athletics at Sub-Congressional and share wisdom with future student athletes.

Which has been your favorite sport at Badiang National High School and why?

My favorite sport to play at my school is volleyball. Volleyball here gives me the opportunity to come together and bond as a team. It also teaches us not to only to be better volleyball players but be better teammates and people.

What do you think makes Sub-Congressional Meet program strong?

Sub-Congressional Meet program is strong because we have coaches and teachers who care and players who are eager to learn. We play hard and competitively, we play with heart and good sportsmanship.

Do you have any advice for aspiring younger athletes?

My biggest advice would be: do not be afraid to fail. You are going to miss a shot, let the ball touch the floor, lose, and lose again, but you have not failed until you have stopped trying. Take a risk, try something new, you never know what you are capable of doing; all quitting does is limit your potential.
