My Six-year Adventure at Badiang National High School

When I first walked into Badiang National High School as a Freshman, I was both excited and nervous. The school and environment is new to me, and I didn't know anyone. I felt a little lost and lonely. I remember looking around at all the new faces and wondering if I would make friends. But as the days passed, I started to get used to the daily routine. I found my classes and began to learn from my teacher. Little by little, I started to feel more at ease in my new surroundings.

One of the greatest things about my time at Badiang National High School has been making friends. At first, it was a bit hard to come out of my shell and talk to new people. But as I got to know my classmates better, I realized that we had a lot in common. We shared the same interests, hobbies, and dreams. We would spend hours chatting and laughing together, and I felt like I haf finally found my place. Over the years, my group of friends has grown, and I have made some really wonderful memories with them.

Another thing that I will always remember about my time at Badiang National High School is the teachers. They were all so patient and good about teaching and really cares about their students. They could do whatever it took to help us succed, and I will always be thankful for their support and guidance.

Of course, my time at Badiang National High School wasn’t always easy. There were times when I faced difficulties and seatbacks, but I learned to keep going and not give up. I learned to be more independent and responsible, and I grow as a person. I also learned the importance of hardwork and dedication. I knew that if I wanted to achieve my goals, I had the support of my family, friends and teacher’s, who were always there to encourage me and help me along the way.

As I look back on my Six-year adventure at Badiang National High School, I feel a sense of pride and achievements. I have learned so much and grown so much as a person. I have made some amazing friends and memories that I will always treasure. And now, as I get ready to graduate on April 14, 2025, I feel a mix of emotions. I am excited to start the next chapter in my life, but I am also sad to said goodbye to my friends and teacher. I know that I will always look back on time at Badiang National High School with fondness and gratitude. It has been a truly unforgettable experience. I am always part of Badiang National High School FAMILY!!!

My partner, Glenn Arthur Pitlo, and I experienced the delicacy contest held in Anda, Bohol during their 150th foundation day celebration. The town was filled with colors and sounds of excitement. One of the events that caught our attention was the delicacy contest. Different booths were set up, each offering a unique dish. The smell of delicious food filled the air.

Arthur and I got to taste some of the dishes, and they were all delicious. The “Chips” was fresh and flavorful. The “Icecream” delicious and has it’s unique flavor. The “Tart” was sweet and creamy the one we made. We wanted to try more, but there were too many dishes to choose from.

Unstoppable Moves: A Choreographer's Journey to Three-Peat Victory

As I look back on my time as a Choreographer in Mass Dance competitions held here in Badiang National High School from grade 10 to 12, I feel a mix of pride and accomplishments those three years were a busy time of creativity, hard work, and determination, which ultimately led to our team winning first place every year or what we called "CHAMPION" but it wasn't easy. There were many challenges that tested my skills, patience, and leadership. I had to learn to overcome these obstacles and keep moving forward.

One of the biggest struggle I faced was managing a large group of dancers, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. I had to coordinate their movements, make sure everyone was in sync, and make last-minute changes to the choreography. This was a big job for me, but I was determined to do it well. I worked hard to create a routine that would showcase my classmates talents. I also had to make sure everyone was working together as a team.

As the choreographer, I had to balance my own creative ideas with the expectations of our teachers, and My Classmates. This was a delicate balance, but I was determined to get it right. I spent many hours perfecting the choreography, and giving feedback to the dancers. I also had to adapt to unexpected problems, such as last-minute changes to the competition rules. Through it all, I learned to stay calm under pressure and be confident to face the challenge.

The feeling of winning first place every year was amazing. Seeing our team's hard work and dedication pay off was a testament to the power of teamwork and perseverance. As I looked out at the happy faces of my teammates, I felt a sense of pride and gratitude. I knew that I had played a small part in helping our team, to make our manifesting to be real, to aim what we want. This feeling was truly unforgettable.

As we approach graduation, I know that we'll miss the thrill of competition and the camaraderie of our team. But I'm also excited to see how the lessons we've learned will shape us into confident, capable, and creative individuals. We'll always cherish the memories of our time as champions, and I know that our experiences will stay with us for a lifetime.

The Abandoned and No Longer Planted Rice Fields in Barangay Linawan

The rice fields in barangay Linawan used to be beautiful, vast, with the strong water supply and fertile soil. It was abundant and beautiful to look at back then. The rice fields in barrangay Linawan truly helped the people living in our barrangay. This also provides entertainment or exercise for the people who have nothing to do on a daily basis. They watch over and take good care of it, making sure that birds and insects can't eat it. It was the livelihood of the people in our Barrangay, providing food for the days to come.

The rice fields of Barrangay Linawan back then were still being planted and they weren't using much fertilizer yet. People back then were patient in planting because they didn't spend much on fertilizer and the yield of their crops was also good. People back then were really hardworking, unlike now. Perhaps because things are so expensive now, it's not the same as before. Indeed, the course of time has undergone a significant transformation. It is not comparable to the past when the soil was fertile, the water supply was abundant, and the use of fertilizers was minimal.

In Barangay Linawan today, people can no longer plant rice because they can't get enough water for their crops. The land can't be plowed either because it doesn't rain enough, causing the soil to harden. As a result, people have lost their enthusiasm for planting rice because they lack the strength to do so due to the current weather and the cost of living. People are different now; they are no longer as eager or patient to plant rice as the older generations who would immediately start planting during the planting season.

Over the past five years, the people of Barrangay Linawan have been unable to plant rice. It's a waste that the new high-tech equipment remains unused due to the lack of water supply. Many farmers have become disheartened and lost their enthusiasm for planting rice. As a result, rice cultivation has ceased, and the farming equipment is simply stored away, unused. This was simply placed in storage and not operated or started, resulting in a malfunction and damage.

It's truly difficult to restore the abundant harvests and strong water supply. This is due to the changing climate, which is no longer the same as before when it truly rained during the rainy season. Now, the weather is extremely hot, causing the water supply to dwindle. So, those who own the land have resorted to planting banana trees and various vegetables to have a source of food or income. By planting banana trees and a variety of vegetables, they are able to meet their daily needs.

Planting banana trees and various vegetables is a good idea because they have a source of food, dishes, and income for their daily lives. Their solution to plant banana trees and other crops is good. But for me, they should take action seek help from the government to solve or restore the water supply so they can plant rice again. If they could bring back rice farming, it would be a better solution. That way, the equipment wouldn't go unused and the land, which should be a rice field, could be planted again.

Overcoming the 4-hrs Challenge: My TESDA COOKERY NCll Journey

As a Grade 12 student, I was required to take a Cookery NCII course as part of our School's Curriculum. One of the requirements to graduate was to pass the TESDA NCII assessment, which included a cooking11 competition. We were given 4 hours to prepare and cook 9 dishes, including main courses, soups, salads, appetizers, sandwiches, and desserts.

I was nervous but excited to showcase my cooking skills. The competition was intense, with all my classmates who aims to pass. We had to work efficiently and manage our time wisely to complete all the dishes within the given time frame. I made sure to prioritize my tasks, starting with the most complicated dishes first.

The assessor's were impressed with the variety and presentation of our dishes. I made sure to follow the recipes and cooking techniques we learned in class, while also adding my own creative touch. My dishes included a delicious Pork Manudo w/ Plain Rice and Buttered Vegetables, a refreshing Non Leafy Salad, and an Apple Tart.

After the competition, we had to wait for the assesors' decision. I was anxious but confident that I had done my best. When the results were announced, I was thrilled to learn that I had passed the assessment and met the requirements for graduation.

Passing the TESDA COOKERY NCII assessment was a huge accomplishment for me. It not only showed that I had acquired the necessary cooking skills, but also gave me the confidence to pursue a career in the culinary industry. I'm grateful for the experience and the skills I learned, and I'm excited to see where my passion for cooking takes me.

My 40-Day Magic Ocean Adventure: A Work Immersion Journey

My work immersion at Magic Ocean was a whirlwind of activity, lasting a full 40 days.  It wasn't always easy; long hours and challenging tasks tested my limits.  There were moments of frustration, times when I felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of work. But even the hardest days were made easier by the incredible people I worked alongside.

The friendships I forged during my immersion were some of the best parts of the experience.  We laughed together, we cried together, and we supported each other through thick and thin.  We bonded over shared struggles, celebrated small victories, and created memories that will last a lifetime.  These friendships weren't just about work; they were about building genuine connections with people who became like family.

Beyond the friendships, the overall bonding experience within the team was remarkable.  We learned to trust each other, rely on each other's strengths, and cover for each other's weaknesses.  This collaborative spirit was essential to our success, and it created a positive and supportive work environment.  We learned to appreciate the value of teamwork and the power of collective effort.

Throughout my immersion, I gained valuable skills and knowledge. I learned practical skills directly applicable to my future career, but I also learned important life lessons about perseverance, teamwork, and the importance of hard work. I improved my time management and problem-solving abilities, and I gained confidence in my abilities.  These learnings extended far beyond the specific tasks I performed.

Looking back, my 40-day work immersion at Magic Ocean was an unforgettable experience.  It was challenging, rewarding, and transformative. I would recommend this type of immersion to anyone seeking to gain practical experience, build meaningful relationships, and grow both personally and professionally.  Perhaps future immersions could include more opportunities for cross-departmental collaboration or mentorship programs to further enhance the learning experience.

My NCII Journey

The National Certificate II in Cookery loomed large, a mountain I had to climb. Preparation felt like a marathon, not a sprint. I spent days, even weeks, practicing knife skills, perfecting sauces, and memorizing recipes. The pressure mounted, each day feeling like a test in itself. Sleep became a luxury, replaced by anxious thoughts of the assessment. Doubt gnawed at me; would I truly be ready?

The assessment day arrived, a blur of nervous energy. My hands trembled as I prepped ingredients, my mind racing through every technique I'd learned. The kitchen felt smaller, the heat more intense, and the ticking clock amplified my anxiety. Each task felt monumental, a potential stumbling block on my path to success. I questioned every decision, second-guessing my every move.

The pressure was immense. I could feel the weight of expectation, both self-imposed and from others. The fear of failure was a constant companion, whispering doubts in my ear. Every mistake felt catastrophic, every minor mishap a potential disaster. I pushed myself, striving to maintain focus despite the overwhelming nervousness.

Finally, the assessment concluded. Exhaustion washed over me, a wave of relief mixed with uncertainty. The waiting felt agonizing, each moment stretching into an eternity. Then, the announcement came – I had passed! The relief was overwhelming, a flood of emotion that washed away the anxiety and doubt.

All the hard work, the late nights, the self-doubt – it was all worth it. The feeling of accomplishment was immense, a testament to my dedication and perseverance. The NCII certificate wasn't just a piece of paper; it was a symbol of my resilience, a validation of my skills, and a stepping stone to my future. The journey had been challenging, but the reward was beyond measure.

Everyone was excited to see who would win the championship.

The game is starting, and the audience can't wait to see who will win the game. Both team are willing to win and give their best play. The volleyball games were very intense. Players jumped high, dove for the ball, and hit powerful spikes. The people who watch the game are very noisy and they enjoy the gameplay of each team.

The final game was between Barangay Candabong and Barangay Badiang. It was a really close game, with both teams playing their best. Both teams are eager to get the trophy and the championship award. But after the game, something was discovered.

Each team does their best to win the game. But the candabong team are breaking the rules.it turned out that Candabong had some players from outside of Anda, which isn't allowed by the rules. Some people thought the committee was unfair for letting them play. Even with this, the game was still exciting and fun to watch.

Barangay Candabong won the championship. They played well, but some people felt it wasn't fair because of the out-of-town players. Even though Badiang lost, and there was some controversy, everyone was still friendly after the game. They shook hands and said good game. The Christmas League was a fun time for Anda, even with the small problem. It showed how much the town loves volleyball. Hopefully, next year's games will be fair for everyone.

Emma's Extraordinary Elixirs By: Nicole Angeli Esmani

Emma, a freshly graduated witch with more enthusiasm than experience, bounced on the balls of her feet, her brightly colored robes swirling around her. Her shop, "Emma's Elixirs of Extraordinary Effects," was a chaotic wonderland of bubbling cauldrons and potions with names like "Hair-Raising Happiness" and "Love-at-First-Sniff." Business was booming, in its own delightfully unpredictable way.

One slow afternoon, the bell above the door jingled, announcing the arrival of Agnes Thistlewick, Emma's perpetually disapproving rival from their academy days. Agnes, with her severe bun and perfectly pressed robes, stood stiffly in the doorway, surveying the scene with a withering stare.

Emma, however, was determined to break the ice – or at least, thaw Agnes's icy demeanor. "Agnes!" she chirped, rushing forward with a wide smile. "Fancy seeing you! I was just making a batch of my new 'Instant Relaxation Elixir.' It's lavender and chamomile, very soothing. Care for a sample?"

Agnes eyed the bubbling purple potion with suspicion. "I assure you, Emma, I have no need for your… experimental concoctions."

Emma, undeterred, continued her charm offensive. "Oh, come now, Agnes. We were rivals in school, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends! Besides," she added, winking conspiratorially, "I've just perfected a new recipe for 'Self-Cleaning Cauldron.' It would save you so much scrubbing time."

Agnes's expression remained unchanged, but a flicker of interest, however faint, crossed her face. "Self-Cleaning Cauldron?" she repeated, her voice a little less sharp.

Emma beamed. "Yes! Imagine, no more scrubbing those stubborn herb stains! It's revolutionary!" She gestured towards a small, unassuming bottle on the counter. "I've even added a hint of lemon verbena for a fresh scent. It's much more efficient than your usual methods, I assure you."

Agnes hesitated, her gaze flickering between the bottle and Emma's genuinely enthusiastic face. Finally, she sighed. "Very well," she conceded, her voice still stiff but lacking its usual icy edge. "I'll try your… 'Self-Cleaning Cauldron' concoction. But if it explodes, Emma, I'm blaming you."

Emma laughed, relieved. "Oh, it won't explode, I promise! Though, a little fizz is to be expected. It’s all part of the charm!" As Agnes cautiously took the bottle, Emma realized that perhaps, just perhaps, her brand of wacky magic might be the key to forging an unlikely friendship. The afternoon continued with Agnes surprisingly engaging in conversation, even offering a few tips on potion-making techniques, albeit with a hint of grudging respect. The self-cleaning cauldron, while a bit fizzy, did indeed work, and the shared laughter over the unexpected results was the best kind of magic Emma could have hoped for.

Elara's Dream By: Nicole Angeli Esmani

Elara was gorgeous – amazing cheekbones, ocean-blue eyes, and long black hair. But she knew looks weren't everything in the modeling world.

She dreamed of being a model, a dream as big as those fancy magazines she loved. She practiced poses in front of her old mirror, her reflection a determined spark against those perfect models. Her sketchbook was full of drawings of herself, showing how much she wanted it.

Her family didn't have much money. Her dad, a carpenter, worked hard. Her mom, a seamstress, sewed until her fingers hurt. Elara knew chasing her dream meant sacrifices, but she wasn't giving up.

She sent tons of pictures to agencies, each rejection a small bump, not a stop sign. She learned from the feedback, getting better at posing and showing her personality. She even started an Instagram, showing off her unique style.

She worked at a bakery, the smell of bread a comfort. She saved every penny, getting professional photos and taking classes. She didn't just dream; she worked for it.

Then, she found a contest run by a cool photographer. The prize? A photoshoot and a spot in an online magazine. It was a long shot, but Elara poured her heart into it, showing not just her beauty, but her spirit.

She won! The photoshoot was amazing – lights, cameras, and creative energy. The photographer saw something special in her – her talent, her passion.

The magazine feature got her noticed. Agencies contacted her, loving her look and her story. Elara signed with a great agency, and her career took off.

It wasn't always easy. There were tough times, but Elara kept going. She learned to stand up for herself and be herself.

Years later, Elara was a successful model, proving that dreams, hard work, and believing in yourself can take you anywhere. Her old apartment was a distant memory, replaced by the bright lights of success, a success she shared with her family. Her story wasn't just about beauty; it was about never giving up.

The Importance of Work Immersion to the students by Steven Jandayan

Work Immersion is an essential experience that connects classroom instruction with practical application. It gives students a firsthand glimpse at how industries function by letting them enter a professional setting. Developing critical soft skills like communication, teamwork, and adaptability is just as important as using technical knowledge in this encounter. It helps students get ready for their future careers by giving them an idea of what is expected of them in the industry.

The value of professionalism and discipline is among the most important lessons learned during work immersion. Workplaces demand punctuality and regularity, unlike schools where deadlines can occasionally be lenient. Efficiency is required for tasks, and errors can have serious repercussions. This helps pupils become more responsible people by teaching them to take responsibility for their actions and to take their work seriously.

Self-discovery is another important lesson learned through work immersion. It enables students to evaluate their professional interests, shortcomings, and capabilities. While some may discover they need to pursue alternative avenues, others may affirm their enthusiasm for a certain area. In any case, the experience gives students direction and clarity, enabling them to make well-informed decisions about their future.

I enjoyed my job immersion experience. I was first anxious as I didn't know anyone and was scared of making a mistake. I was afraid that my coworkers would be upset with me, but they were understanding and nice. They provided me advise and taught me the proper technique instead of becoming upset. They reminded me that I should always act professionally while I'm at work.

In summary, work immersion is a life-changing experience that equips students for issues they will face in the real world and goes beyond simply being a school requirement. It cultivates self-awareness, discipline, and teamwork—all of which are essential for success in the workplace. Students can more confidently and purposefully pursue their career journeys by embracing the lessons they have gained from job immersion.

Gulayan sa Paaralan Program In Badiang National High School by Francis Jake Ampong

The "Gulayan sa Paaralan" program is one of the best way on how we can improve learning especially to our schools. The program promotes the consumption of more veggies, which are high in vitamins, minerals, and fiber. This prevents malnutrition which is a really common issue in certain food deserts. Why? Simply, utilizing school gardening for supplementary feeding program can be a tool in aiding the major reasons why a child drops out of school- poverty, hunger, and malnutrition.

Badiang National High School will conduct a program about Gulayan sa Paaralan. With this program, parents, and students was oriented about the project that aimed to help learners and parents realize how important the agriculture is, and as it serve as our life support. This project will help the school based feeding program in improving the nutritional status of BNHS learners, with the mutual cooperation of the parents, teachers and community. This project would not be completed without the help of Jen Grace's blacksmith father and his laborers, Cristian Calimbo and me. This project shows how strong community teamwork can help us reach our educational and health goals.

Teachers, parents, and students collaborated to find the ideal spot for their vegetable garden. The careful selection of the planting location ensured optimal growing conditions for the vegetables. With the support of parents and students, they planted a variety of vegetables, including root crops, legumes, and leafy greens. The diverse selection of vegetables provided a wide range of nutrients for the students. These vegetables contribute to the project's goal of ensuring students maintain proper nutrition, promoting a healthy lifestyle and improved well-being.

The project ignited an interest in gardening among students. The experience helped everyone to learn that planting was also about much more than just the school grounds. Students and parents learned how vegetable gardening can be a source of food and income leading to self-sufficiency and economic empowerment. This made for a successful program because it really showed the benefits of gardening and how it could be sustainable living! Armed with this new knowledge they felt empowered to help create a healthier and more sustainable community."

The success of this project shows how well teachers, parents, students, and the community can work together. Their teamwork and commitment made it clear that even the toughest challenges can be faced and conquered. This achievement really emphasizes how important it is for the community to get involved in achieving common goals. The influence of this project reaches beyond just the school, encouraging others to join in and collaborate. By coming together, they proved that when people unite, they can achieve anything.
