BNHS Makes History with First JS Prom at the Cultural Center By: Jaigen S. Galo

Badiang National High School made history on February 15, 2025, by being the first school in Anda to hold its Junior and Senior Promenade (JS Prom) at the Cultural Center in Anda, Bohol. The event was a night filled with elegance, tradition, and unforgettable moments as students, teachers, and parents gathered to celebrate this milestone. The beautifully decorated venue set the stage for an eveningof grace, friendship, and cherished memories.

A highlight of the evening was the candling ceremony, a meaningful tradition symbolizing the passing of wisdom and responsibility from the seniors to the juniors. At the center of the circle stood Mrs. Len Rochelle S. Amoguis, the school principal, who led the solemn moment. As the seniors lit the juniors’ candles, the warm glow illuminated the venue, signifying leadership, unity, and new beginnings. The ceremony created an emotional and inspiring atmosphere for all in attendance.

The event was skillfully hosted by Mr. Melvin V. Amora, whose energy and enthusiasm kept the program lively. The night continued with the traditional cotillion dance, where students showcased their elegance and dedication through graceful and synchronized movements. The evening also featured various dance performances and lively group dances that encouraged everyone to join in and celebrate the occasion.

One of the most anticipated moments of the event was the awarding of sashes, where outstanding students were recognized for their elegance, confidence, and charm. Instead of a coronation, the honorees received special titles and sashes to commemorate their achievements. Additionally, awards were given for the best-dressed individuals and dance partners, making the night even more exciting and memorable.

The JS Prom 2025 was not just a night of glamour but also a historic event for Badiang National High School. Being the first prom ever held at the Cultural Center in Anda, the occasion set a new tradition and a high standard for future celebrations. As the students bid farewell to the night, they carried with them unforgettable memories and a sense of pride in being part of this remarkable milestone.
